Pai has a relaxed, bohemian vibe and is known for its hippie and backpacker culture. Pai is a short bus or minivan trip from Chiang Mai, though the roads are nauseatingly windy.

  6. Visit Wat Phra That Mae Yen: Wat Phra That Mae Yen is considered one of the most popular and well-known temples in the area. It is situated on a hilltop and offers panoramic views of the town and the surrounding landscape. The temple is also known for its golden pagoda, which is said to contain a relic of the Buddha. Visitors can also walk around the temple complex and see the intricate carvings and statues. Wat Phra That Mae Yen is also a good spot for sunset. It's a good idea to visit the temple during the day to see the view and again at sunset for a different perspective.
